Maui Day 6–the road to Hana March 30, 2012

We drove to Hana and hiked along the Waianapanapa State Park coastline.  Apparently the way to Hana has circa 700 hair-pin bends…

    Did you happen to make it beyond Hana to Oheo Gulch? It’s part of Haleakala National Park so you pay once for access to both the crater and the gulch. I think you would have really liked that short but beautiful hike starting at the Seven Pools by the ocean and ending at some of the tallest waterfalls in Maui county.

    No, unfortunately we didn’t make it that far. It will be on our list for the next time we visit Maui (which won’t be too long given how fantastic our first trip was).
