Lots of lessons learnt in making this.  Cut a perfect circle with the glass and then was worried it was too large for the mold so trimmed it down but in doing this I ended up with an uneven edge which you can just make out around the rim.  Should have used a black base (you can’t see but the black upper layer is on a clear base – this means you can, if you look closely at the piece, see light coming through some hairline gaps along the colored line.
